Residency Application Process
![]() The Neurosurgery Residency Program consists of seven-years of clinical training and accepts two residents per year. We participate in the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP) http://www.nrmp.org/. The service is divided between the University of Kentucky and the Veteran’s Administrative Hospital (VAMC).
Applications to the University of Kentucky Neurosurgery Residency Program are accepted solely through the Electronic Residency Application Services (ERAS) https://www.aamc.org/students/medstudents/eras/. Required documents consist of MyERAS application, personal statement, Medical Student Performance Evaluation, LoR, transcripts (medical school, USMLE, COMLEX), and a photograph.
