Parkinson's Disease/Movement Program
The Neurosurgical Movement Disorders Program at the University of Kentucky provides state of the art evaluations, treatment and follow-up care for patients with movement disorders through an integrated team of health care professionals. Together with Neurology, we provide a comprehensive team approach to deep brain stimulation for movement disorders and we offer a motivated team of physicians and staff that ensures our patients have the best possible experience. The program includes the use of FDA approved therapeutic interventions ranging from deep brain stimulation to the use of investigational tissues and compounds delivered directly to the brain. We are also committed to helping patients and families understand their diagnoses treatment options.
We strive to develop and participate in translational clinical trials aimed at neuroprotection and neurodegeneration that could lead to disease-modifying treatments of Parkinson's Disease and other movement disorders. Learn more about our
